THE Constitutional Court has upheld the election of Kapiri Mposhi Constituency UPND Member of Parliament, Stanley Kakubo, which was challenged by losing PF candidate Chrispin Siingwa.

Siingwa, had appealed High Court Judge Mwamba Chanda verdict on grounds that the trial court erred in fact and law by refusing to nullify the election in light of the alleged breach of the electoral code.

But in his judgment, ConCourt judge Enoch Mulembe dismissed the appeal for lack of merit and said there are were no reasons for him to overturn the decision of the High Court.
