Dismantling of a network of suspected scammers in Kounoune Centrale

The Territorial Brigade of the Sangalkam Gendarmerie proceeded, on Monday October 19, 2026, to the arrest of ten (10) individuals suspected of being involved in the activities of an alleged QNET network, in Kounoune Centrale.

The intervention of elements of the Territorial Brigade allowed the arrest of 10 individuals. The people arrested were taken to the unit’s premises for the purposes of the investigation. Investigations are continuing in order to determine the extent of the network’s alleged activities, to identify possible other people involved and to establish individual responsibilities, we read on the official Gendarmerie page.

Illegal networks associated with QNET generally refer to groups or individuals suspected of using the name of this direct selling company to recruit people. They make them pay money and in return promise them income or economic opportunities that are often misleading. However, it is necessary to distinguish between the direct sales company and the fraudulent recruitment networks which claim its name.
