Dr Bacary Sarr brings the voice of Senegal to Paris
Dr Bacary Sarr, Minister of Communication and Relations with Institutions, made numerous speeches in Paris, from October 3 to 5, 2026. A sequence devoted to the image of Senegal, but also to the explanation of the Government’s position on several current issues.
Senegal was in the spotlight this weekend in Paris, through the participation of the Minister of Communication and Relations with Institutions, Dr Bacary Sarr, in several institutional, academic and media meetings. From Sciences Po to TV5MONDE, the Minister of Communication and Relations with Institutions, spokesperson for the Government, made the voice of Senegal heard.
On Saturday October 3, the minister was keynote speaker at the 3rd edition of AFRICA Day 2026, organized at Sciences Po by the French-African Foundation, in partnership with Sciences Po and the AXIAN Group.
“In front of an audience composed in particular of students, young graduates and professionals, he underlined the strategic importance of the image of a country in an environment marked by the rapid circulation of information, the competition of stories and the growing influence of the media and digital networks,” underlines a press release sent to our editorial staff.

The interview focused on several major topics in Senegalese news. Issues such as the disappearance of writer Cheikh Hamidou Kane, political tensions at the top of the state, Senegal’s financial situation and debt, social expectations as well as the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games were discussed, notes the press release.
This intervention allowed the Government spokesperson to present, before an international audience, the elements of the executive’s response on issues which occupy the national public debate.
