“Yessal”: When the walls are reinvented for the YOG

There are 43 of them, brushes and sprays in hand, who have embarked on the Yeesal adventure, the urban art project supported by the Organizing Committee of the YOG Dakar 2026. Under the artistic direction of Madzoo TRK (Serigne Mansour Fall), Senegalese painters and graffiti artists, selected following a call for applications, are preparing to cover the walls of Dakar, Diamniadio and Saly with frescoes inspired by Olympic values and paying tribute to African athletes. A project that intends to make these works much more than just decoration: a lasting legacy for the host neighborhoods, and a springboard for a new generation of artists under 35.
