Cameroon: a murderous attack by Boko Haram left a dozen deaths

At least ten Cameroonian soldiers lost their lives and 20 others were injured during an attack perpetrated by the terrorist group Boko Haram against a military outpost in the Far North region, rapporteur for local media and security sources.

The attack occurred overnight Monday to Tuesday. According to the newspaper The eye of the Sahelthe attackers set an ambush and stormed the Wulgo military camp, located on the border with Nigeria. “They came in large numbers since Nigeria and surprised our soldiers. They had sophisticated weapons and technologies. Our forces are currently in pursuit ”said a military officer on condition of anonymity.

Local authorities have not yet confirmed the final assessment, adding that the investigation was underway. According to local media, this attack is among the deadliest against the Cameroonian army since the start of Boko Haram activities in the region in 2014.
