CAF Women’s LDC Qualifications: defeat for the Aigles de la Médina against the USFAS of Mali
False start for the Eagles of Medina in the race for the CAF Women’s Champions League. This Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the Independence Stadium in Gambia, the Senegalese representative lost 1-0 to USFAS, a Malian team, during the first group match (UFOA-A zone).
Everything was decided just before half-time: the Malians opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 43rd minute, an advantage which they were able to preserve until the final whistle. The Senegalese pushed to get back on the scoreboard in the second half, without managing to find the opening.
This setback, the first of their campaign, puts the Eagles of Medina under pressure before their next outing. They will have to restart on August 31 (3:00 p.m.) against Determine Girls FC, representative of Liberia, with the objective of collecting their first points in this competition.
