Saudi Pro League: Sadio Mané saves Al-Nassr from a bad start against Al-Ettifaq
Al-Nassr had a much more complicated evening than expected this Tuesday, August 25, 2025, but Ange Postecoglou’s team ended up snatching the three points on the Al-Ettifaq pitch, winning 3 goals to 2 during the third day of the Saudi championship thanks to an immense Sadio Mané.
After two easy successes to start their season, the northern team this time had to battle in a completely different match. Trailing 2-0, the visitors even seemed to be heading towards their first setback of the year, until a stunning final quarter of an hour changed everything.
Mané, decisive twice at the end of the match
And in this poorly started match, it was Sadio Mané who carried Al-Nassr to victory. Launched in depth by a pass from João Félix, the Senegalese international first reduced the gap in the 74th minute. He then did it again in stoppage time (90th), in an action very close to the previous one, to offer victory to his team.
These two achievements constitute Mané’s very first goals since the start of the season, and allow Al-Nassr to maintain their flawless record: three victories in three days.
