Babacar Faye calls on Fatick youth to occupy decision-making bodies November 3, 2026
For the general director of the Naval Repair Infrastructure Company (Sirn), the young people of Fatick must get involved in politics and society in order to access decision-making bodies and better serve their region. In the same wake, Babacar Faye, who spoke on Monday November 2, 2026, recalled his objective of supporting the Head of State in his mission and promoting the Kiiraay party throughout the department.
FATICK- Aware of the issues of the moment, the director of the Naval Repair Infrastructure Company (Sirn) called on the youth of Fatick to assert themselves to access decision-making bodies. This is to provide effective service to their communities. Thus, in the opinion of Babacar Faye who spoke Monday evening, young people must not set limits in their commitment to the good of society. In other words, they must go beyond sport to claim to occupy strategic positions. “I call on young people not to stay only in sport. They must get involved in politics and society to be part of those who decide and therefore prepare for their future”, launched the boss of Sirn, who recently sponsored the final of a tournament played at the Massène Sène stadium in Fatick.
In addition, the political leader, member of the ruling party, Kiiraay, recalled his political commitment which, for the moment, boils down to supporting the President of the Republic Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye in his mission. It is in this sense that he declares: “My only objective is to support the President of the Republic at the departmental, regional and even national level”.
While the debate on the next local elections rages, the native of Fatick focuses on his mission to promote Kiiraay throughout the department. It is in this logic that he says he is ready to support the candidate chosen by his party. “I remain a disciplined activist. When the conditions are met to go to a local election, I will accompany the candidate who will be designated by the party”, he said with complete confidence.
To hear him speak, the party’s ambitions even go beyond the municipal framework. He is also aiming for the seat of the Departmental Council. “I am also willing and determined to support the candidate who will compete on behalf of the Departmental Council,” he clarifies.
