Trial of TikTokers: heavy prison sentences handed down in Pikine-Guédiawaye

The Pikine-Guédiawaye flagrante delictos court has delivered its deliberations in the case between several famous TikTokers and the public prosecutor.

Seized of procedural incidents, the judges immediately rejected the objection of nullity formulated by Me Ciré Clédor Ly for Rokhaya Fall (alias Rox), as well as the exception of limitation raised by the defense. The court also noted the extinction of public action for the accusations of computer insults following the withdrawal of the civil parties’ complaints. On the merits, the magistrates reclassified the acts of distribution of obscene images as “discourse contrary to good morals”.

On the criminal front, Rokhaya Fall (Rox) and Khadijatou Kébé (Jessica) each receive 2 years in prison, including 6 months, accompanied by a fine of 100,000 FCFA. For her part, Nafissatou Fall (Narou) was sentenced to 2 years in prison, including 3 months, and a fine of 100,000 FCFA. Finally, Ramatoulaye Diaw (Ramz Yago) receives a sentence of 2 years in prison, including 1 month, and a fine of 50,000 FCFA.

As civil reparations, Rox will have to pay 2 million FCFA in damages to Adji Mass Gueye. The court recorded the withdrawal of the other civil parties, ordered provisional execution and set the maximum constraint.
