Failed medical examination at Lazio: Bamba Dieng plays for his future at Red Star

While he seemed very close to signing up with Lazio Rome, the Senegalese striker will ultimately not join the Italian club.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the player failed his medical examination carried out this Thursday in Rome. Knee problems were noted in particular during examinations.

A new disillusionment for the former Olympique de Marseille player, who had nevertheless joined the Italian capital with the hope of finalizing his arrival at Lazio. Just a few hours after the failure of this operation, a new avenue opened up: that of the Red Star of Belgrade.

A new chance in Serbia

According to information from Santi Aouna of Footmercato, Bamba Dieng must head to Belgrade and undergo a new medical examination this Friday, August 21. The Senegalese striker could then join Red Star, provided, obviously, that he passes the medical examinations.

A condition which now constitutes the main question mark in the file. Because after the new episode in Rome, this medical examination will necessarily be scrutinized with particular attention. The player will have to convince the medical staff of the Serbian club that his physical condition allows him to continue his career in good conditions.
