Visit to Serigne Babacar Sy Mansour: Tivaouane and Médina Baye reaffirm their bonds of fraternity
The Caliph General of the Tidianes, Serigne Babacar Sy Mansour, received, Monday in Tivaouane, a large delegation from Medina Baye led by Cheikh Haraby Niasse ibn El Hadji Mouhamed Seynabou Niasse, representing the Caliph General of Medina Baye, Cheikh Mahi Niasse. This meeting was marked by messages of fraternity, unity and consolidation of historical ties between the two great families of Tidjaniya.
On behalf of Cheikh Mahi Niasse, Cheikh Haraby Niasse transmitted the fraternal greetings of the Caliph General of Medina Baye before expressing his gratitude for the welcome received. He also thanked Serigne Babacar Sy Mansour and his delegation for their participation in the Day dedicated to Cheikh Ibrahim Niasse, while recalling the historic relations between Seydi El Hadji Malick Sy and El Hadji Abdoulaye Niasse. According to him, this heritage remains a model of communion, mutual respect and unity between the two religious homes.
Responding on behalf of the Caliph General of the Tidianes, Serigne Cheikh Ahmed Tidiane Sy Dabakh welcomed this fraternal visit and insisted on the need to preserve and strengthen the spiritual bonds inherited from the great religious figures of Tivaouane and Medina Baye.
During the audience, Serigne Babacar Sy Mansour delivered a message focused on the symbolic significance of this meeting. He considered that the movement of the delegation from Medina Baye to Tivaouane constituted, in itself, the most eloquent testimony of fraternity between the two communities. Recalling that Tivaouane and Medina Baye belong to the same spiritual family united by the values of Islam and Tidjaniya, he expressed prayers for the lasting preservation of these links, in the service of the unity of the Ummah, peace and solidarity.
