Touba: Kiiraay youth supports 5 schools with 2 million supplies
At the start of the 2026-2027 school year, the youth of the Kiiraay – Les Patriotes Républicains party supported education in Touba. On Sunday October 18, 2026, she distributed school kits to five elementary schools in the city.
Made up of bags, notebooks, pens and other supplies, the donations are estimated at 2 million CFA francs. The objective is to relieve students’ parents, some of whom are struggling to cover back-to-school expenses, explains coordinator Cheikh Mbengue.
According to him, the action is part of the government’s dynamic in favor of students, notably with the provision of a train for Touba-Mbacké transport. “We are thinking about the next generations,” he declared, announcing that he wanted to perpetuate the initiative. He thanked the CEO of the African Refining Company (SAR) for his support.
The secretary of the structure, Ahma Sylla, underlined Kiiraay’s attachment to the education of young people in Touba and called on the populations to mobilize for the success of the children.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, Mamadou Mbacké Niang of the Mouhamadou Bachir Mbacké school group welcomed a crucial gesture of solidarity for children from deprived families during this back-to-school period.
