Touba-Dahra axis: three dead and twelve injured in a tricycle accident

DAHRA (LINGUÈRE) – A traffic accident left three dead and twelve injured, Monday September 14, 2026, on the Touba-Dahra axis, near the village of Touba Boustane, in the commune of Déaly.

The tragedy occurred around 10 a.m. According to testimonies collected on site, a tricycle carrying passengers towards the weekly Déaly market, which is held every Monday, skidded before violently colliding with a tree.

Under the force of the impact, the vehicle overturned near the roadway. The results show three dead and twelve injured, several of whom are in serious condition.

Alerted, firefighters from the Dahra rescue brigade went to the scene. They evacuated the victims to the Elisabeth Diouf health center in Dahra, where the lifeless bodies were also deposited.

An open investigation
After the findings made on the scene, the Dahra gendarmerie opened an investigation in order to determine the exact circumstances of this accident and to establish the causes.
