DER/FJ: more than 7 billion FCFA injected into the Mbacké department in five years

With the aim of explaining the financing mechanisms of the structure, the General Delegate for Rapid Entrepreneurship for Women and Youth (DER/FJ), Dr Abdoulaye Niane, began a national tour. In Mbacké, on September 14, 2026, he praised the efforts of the departmental branch, two months after his appointment as head of the structure.

During his first stop in the Mbacké department, Abdoulaye Niane praised the results recorded by the DER/FJ in this area. Barely two months after his appointment, the General Delegate informs that the structure has injected more than 300 million CFA francs into the Mbacké department. A dynamic which should allow, according to him, to reach, by the end of the year, the funding levels recorded by the DER/FJ the previous year.

Mentioning Nano Credit, the head of the departmental branch of the DER/FJ went further, specifying that the structure injected seven billion CFA francs into the Mbacké department in five years. Thus, he says, “Nano Credit is an economic lever through which we support women and young people”.

Seizing this opportunity, Abdoulaye Niane recalled having received instructions from the President of the Republic to support women and young people in the Mbacké department, particularly those in the town of Touba. “The President of the Republic knows that you are women and young people, driven by the desire to succeed in your mission alongside your religious guides,” he declared. He assured that part of the necessary means will be made available to them, through the DER/FJ, to enable them to carry out their activities.

Coming to chair this activity, the prefect of Mbacké, Khadim Hann, expressed his gratitude to the General Delegate of the DER/FJ for choosing the department of Mbacké to launch his national tour. He sees it as a mark of consideration towards the populations of this administrative district.

The prefect also recalled that Dr Abdoulaye Niane created a cooperative intended for nationals of Koranic schools (Doomu Daara). “This shows that he knows the religious status of this department, this department which has thousands of daaras,” he stressed.

However, Khadim Hann drew the attention of beneficiaries to the importance of loan repayment. An imperative, according to the head of local administration. Even if the Mbacké department has made efforts in this area, it invited the populations to continue their efforts. “We must repay the credits to allow all populations to benefit from this financing,” he indicated.
