Senegal: bad news for Aliou Cissé before the clash against Algeria

The bad news continues for Aliou Cissé, on the eve of the friendly clash against Algeria. Already deprived of Ismaila Sarr, the Senegal coach will also have to do without another executive in the den for this meeting.

Forced to a draw by Rwanda (1-1) last week, in the CAN 2023 qualifier, Senegal is playing its second meeting of the September rally on Tuesday. The Indomitable Lions face Algeria in Dakar. The Senegalese Football Federation revealed the bad news in a press release on the body’s official website.

The FSF announces that the two players have left the den to join their clubs. “Clinical and ultrasound examinations revealed a lesion of the rectus femoris muscle for Boulaye Dia, and a lesion in the left hamstrings for Ismaila Sarr. Both players will be out for at least two weeks and therefore they have been released to join their respective clubs.”, we can read.
