Malang Sarr should experience his first minutes with the Senegal national team during the next international window. According to information published by L’Équipe, the Neom SC defender figures in Patrick Vieira’s plans for his first gathering at the head of the Lions.

This call-up would mark the culmination of the international choice of the 27-year-old player. Former French Espoirs international, Malang Sarr announced his choice to represent Senegal, the country of origin of his parents, after several years of hesitation.

The defender, who now plays in Saudi Arabia with Neom SC, was notably excluded from Senegal’s list for the 2026 World Cup under Pape Thiaw. However, his name was already circulating among the players likely to join the Lair with the arrival of Patrick Vieira.
