Like many African players this summer, Karl Toko Ekambi is preparing to join the ranks of the Saudi Pro League. While a possible transfer to the Turkish championship, with Fenerbahçe, was mentioned, the striker, having scored 30 goals with Les Gones, is preparing to sign with the Abha club, according to information from Santi Aouna.
The French journalist reveals that the former player of Angers would have reached an agreement with the Saudi club, for a two-year contract. A new adventure is looming for the Cameroonian international, while his transfer will bring Olympique Lyonnais a sum of around 1.7 million euros.
Last season, Karl Toko Ekambi was loaned to Rennes during the second half of the year. However, the 30-year-old striker is not part of coach Laurent Blanc’s plans, prompting him to leave the Lyon squad.
