A key player for Etoile Sportive du Sahel (Tunisia), Jacques Mbe has found favor with a club in Saudi Arabia. The midfielder is in the small papers of the Saudi club Al Hazem which would even have taken action for the Cameroonian nugget.
Cameroonian international, Jacques Mbe could fly to Saudi Arabia. The centerpiece of Etoile Sportive du Sahel, which he joined in 2020, the midfielder has been the delight of the Tunisian championship for two years. Versatile, able to hold the position of central defender and defensive midfielder, the 24-year-old caught the eye of Saudi club Al Hazem.
Very interested in the profile of the Indomitable Lion, the Saudi team would even have taken action for the Cameroonian. Al Hazem reportedly sent an offer to Etoile Sportive du Sahel of around $1.2m to secure the midfielder’s services.
However, the defending champions of Tunisia seem reluctant to sell him, aware of his essential role within the team. Despite this, a new proposal could be considered to persuade Etoile Sportive du Sahel to consent to the departure of Jacques Mbe to Al Hazem.
The outcome of this intrigue is to be followed closely, as negotiations continue between the two clubs. The future of Jacques Mbe could be part of Saudi football, while leaving an indelible mark in the memories of Tunisian football.
