FIFA has revealed the list of five goalkeepers nominated for the prestigious title of Best Goalkeeper of the Year. A list which includes two representatives from the African continent.
After revealing the list of players in the running for the title of Best Player of the Year, FIFA has lifted the veil on the goalkeepers candidates for the title of Best Goalkeeper of the Year.
Among the five renowned goalkeepers on this list, we find Cameroonian international André Onana, who brilliantly defended the colors of Inter Milan during the last Champions League final.
Another African goalkeeper, Yassine Bounou from Morocco, also stands out in this prestigious selection. He won the Europa League with Sevilla FC and was eighth finalist in the previous edition, beaten by West Ham (0-2).
Voting for The Best FIFA Football Awards 2023 remains open until October 6, offering football fans around the world the opportunity to take part in this exciting selection process.
