Equatorial Guinea – Baltasar Ebang Engona case: the vice -president reacts
In Equatorial Guinea, Vice-President Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue reacted firmly to a sexual scandal involving Baltasar Ebang Ebanga by imposing exemplary sanctions.
ENGONGA is at the center of a controversy, where videos show it in intimate situations with several women, some of which take place in administrative offices. In a message published on X, Obiang Mangue stressed that government premises must remain working spaces devoted to the development of the country and not be used for private purposes. He warned that any violation of this rule will cause disciplinary sanctions.
Currently, the judicial authorities examine the health of Baltasar Ebang Ebanga to ensure that he has not exposed his partners to sexually transmitted diseases, although no rape reporting or sexual harassment has been registered in this case.
In addition, the vice-president recalled the importance of professional behavior in public institutions and said that control measures are set up to prevent future abuses.
