On the occasion of his 70th birthday celebration, President Félix Tshisekedi offered a brand new vehicle to the famous singer Jossart Nyoka Longo.
Jossart Nyoka Longo is much more than a singer. He is a true icon of Congolese rumba and has left an indelible mark on the music and culture of the DRC. With an impressive musical career spanning over four decades, the artist has influenced entire generations of music fans and helped shape the country’s musical identity.
Aware of his role as ambassador of Congolese culture, President Félix Tshisekedi honored him during his lifetime this September as he celebrates his 70th birthday. Indeed, the Head of State gave him a luxurious Toyota Prado during a mass organized at the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Lingwala.
President Tshisekedi’s gesture does not go unnoticed. It testifies to the national recognition for the exceptional achievements of Jossart Nyoka Longo and the impact he had on the Congolese cultural scene.
