Cameroon coach Rigobert Song revealed on Tuesday his list of players selected for the match against Burundi next September, in the CAN 2023 qualifier. André Onana and Clinton N’jie are returning to the group.

The endless media coverage, with the personal involvement of Paul Biya and his government, finally bore fruit. André Onana is back in the lair of the Indomitable Lions. The Cameroonian goalkeeper is on the list of players summoned by Rigobert Song for the sixth day of the CAN 2023 qualifiers, the final phase of which will take place from January 13 to February 11, 2024 in Ivory Coast.

In this list of 24 players communicated this Tuesday by the coach of Cameroon, we also notice the presence of several ghosts. This is the case of Clinton N’jie, Samuel Oum Gouet, Gaël Ondoua and Harold Moukoudi who sign their return to the selection. Also note the first summons of Régis François Mughe, the young 19-year-old winger from Olympique de Marseille. On the other hand, no Nicolas N’koulou, Martin Hongla, Jean Charles Castelleto and Ignatius Ganago, not called by Rigobert Song.

Second in group C with 4 points, Cameroon is neck and neck with Burundi, 4 units also on the clock. A draw would allow the Indomitable Lions to validate their ticket for the trip to Ivorian soil.
