CAN 2023 (Q): Burundi’s pre-list against Cameroon

Burundi will challenge Cameroon next September, as part of the 6th day of the CAN 2023 qualifiers. 37 players have been shortlisted for the occasion.
A few more weeks and lovers of round leather will vibrate to the rhythm of the CAN 2023 qualifiers. The sixth and last day of the qualifying phases will be held next September. A final chance to get the ticket for the trip to Ivorian soil.
Also in the lot, Burundi will challenge Cameroon on September 12th. Third in the standings in Group C, level on points with the Indomitable Lions, the Swallows will win their ticket if they win against the proteges of Samuel Eto’o. A mission not impossible for the Burundians who will cross the crampons with a Cameroonian team which comes out of a defeat against Namibia (1-2) during the 5th day.

And for the occasion, the national coach, Étienne Ndayiragije, unveiled a pre-list of 37 players. The objective is to work with the group (most of which plays in the local championship) over a long period to be able to come up with the final list. The rally is expected to start next week. Players who play in other African clubs beyond will join the group during FIFA days.
