Cameroon: 10 Boko Haram terrorists killed in the Far North region

At least ten members of Boko Haram were killed Wednesday by the mixed multinational force (FMM) during two operations carried out in the region of the Far North of Cameroon, according to the FMM’s military information department, based in N’Djamena, in Chad.

The troops of sub-sector 4 of sector 1 of the FMM have thwarted an attack on a military base in Darak, in the department of Logone-et-Chari, killing six combatants of Boko Haram in the early hours of Wednesday. Five soldiers were injured during fire exchanges.

In another operation, the FMM intercepted terrorists on the run towards Mozogo, in the Mayo-Tsanaga department, neutralizing four members of Boko Haram. According to the FMM, this action demonstrates its commitment to fight insecurity in the Lake Chad basin and to protect civilians in the face of the violence of armed groups.

“The determination of the force to eradicate the terrorist threat in the Lake Chad basin remains intact”said Lieutenant-Colonel Olaniyi Osoba, Military Information Head at the FMM headquarters.
