Boulaye Dia joins Rennes in the last moments of the transfer window
Stade Rennais formalized, this Tuesday evening, the arrival of Boulaye Dia in the very last moments of the transfer window. The operation takes the form of a paying loan valued at 2 million euros, accompanied by a purchase obligation increased to 8 million euros. The 29-year-old Senegalese striker is leaving Lazio, where he has been playing for two seasons.
On its social networks, the Breton club welcomed the arrival of its new center forward, describing him as “ready to make the Rouge et Noir shine”.
This transfer should allow Rennes to compensate for the departure of Breel Embolo, who flew to MLS. For Boulaye Dia, it is a return to the elite of French football: the striker left Reims for Villarreal in 2021, before continuing his career with Salernitana then Lazio.
