Beyoncé and Jay-Z have bought themselves the richest house of all time in California. The masterpiece was unveiled on Friday, May 19, 2023 by the Ne York Post.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z now live in Malibu, California. The super couple offered themselves an all-concrete villa designed by the famous Japanese architect Tadao Ando, for the modest sum of 200 million dollars (about 185 million euros) or more than 120 billion FCFA. Their home thus becomes the most expensive house ever sold in California despite a negotiation of the starting price, which was 295 million dollars.
By accepting the $200 million, Jay-Z and Beyoncé surpass the previous record of $177 million. It is also the second most expensive real estate transaction in the country, the highest being $238 million for an apartment in New York.

According to TMZ, the home has been quietly listed for a whopping $295 million and is located on an 8-acre bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the Paradise Cove area…AKA Billionaires’ Row.
This architectural gem was designed by Tadao Ando, a Japanese master architect, who also designed the house that Kanye West bought in Malibu. The house was owned and built by William Bell, one of the world’s foremost art collectors.
It took him nearly 15 years to build the all-concrete structure. This transaction is the couple’s second massive real estate purchase in the Los Angeles area. As a reminder, in 2017, the couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé bought a Bel-Air mansion for 88 million dollars.
