Arrears on family security grants will soon be paid
The Prime Minister, Ahmadou Al Aminou Lo announces the payment, from September, of arrears of family security grants.
“We will increase the number of vulnerable households benefiting from a social protection base to one million from 2027,” declared Prime Minister Ahmadou Al Aminou Lo during his General Policy Statement to deputies.
The envelope devoted to subsidies according to the figures put forward in the general policy declaration from 70 billion CFA francs this year to 140 billion FCFA next year.
The Family Security Grants (BSF) are a social protection system initiated by the State of Senegal intended for the most vulnerable households.
Concretely, this is a monetary transfer paid directly to beneficiary households in order to help them meet essential expenses.
