Algeria-Senegal: Iman Travel Agency wants to create a bridge between tourism, culture and spirituality
Algeria and Senegal want to strengthen their ties through travel and tourism. This is the ambition of Iman Travel Agency, an agency specializing in the Algeria-Senegal destination, which intends to bring the two peoples together by focusing on tourist, cultural, gastronomic, but also religious and spiritual discovery.
One of the particularities of its offer lies in the establishment of a religious and spiritual route around Tidjaniya, intended to promote the high historical and spiritual places linked to this important Sufi tradition. “Many are unaware that Cheikh Ahmed Tidiane Chérif was born in Algeria. And mainly in Ain Madhi, an Algerian commune and a former fortified ksar in the wilaya of Laghouat,” indicated El Hadji Malick Ndiaye, founder of Iman Travel Agency.
Through this initiative, the agency aims to strengthen relations between the two peoples, but also to help remove barriers and prejudices. The objective is to discover, on both sides, the potential of the two countries: the diversity of regions and landscapes, the richness of tourist sites, but also the variety of traditions, cultures and gastronomy.
For El Hadji Malick Ndiaye, this approach also takes on a personal and spiritual dimension. “As a Tidiane, I had the privilege of going to these holy places to recharge my batteries and walk in the footsteps of Sheikh Ahmed Tidjane Chérif. This trip allowed me to embrace the history of Tidjania and to live an unforgettable experience,” he rejoiced.
Building on this experience, the founder of Iman now wishes to allow other faithful to experience this journey in the footsteps of the founder of Tidjaniya. He hopes that every Tidiane in Senegal can have the chance to discover these places full of history and spirituality.
But the project is not limited to a trip from Senegal to Algeria. The agency also invites Algerians to come and discover Senegal, its heritage, its culture and its different facets.
For Abdel Chabane, Algerian and also founder of Iman Agency Voyage, this initiative responds to a reality: “Unfortunately, the two peoples, the two nations do not know each other well”.
Hence the desire to create a bridge between Algeria and Senegal, drawing on what brings them together: their history, their brotherhood, their commitment, their cultures, their traditions and above all their common religious heritage.
The route dedicated to Tidjaniya thus constitutes one of the markers of this new tourist offer. It highlights the historical and spiritual highlights of this brotherhood, while opening a new path of rapprochement between the two peoples, across borders.
