AFRIMMA Awards 2023: Fally Ipupa wins two trophies

Fally Ipupa, an icon of Congolese music, once again shone during the tenth edition of the African Musik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) which was held on Sunday September 17, 2023 in the United States.

The prestigious ceremony took place at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas and brought together talented artists from many African countries such as Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Uganda, Mali, South Africa and the Republic of Congo. Renowned artists such as Didi B, Josey, KS Bloom, Asake, Tiwa Savage and Ayra Starr also attended the event, marking the 10th anniversary of AFRIMMAs.

Fally Ipupa was honored by winning two awards during the evening. He was recognized as the best French-speaking artist and also received the prestigious “Lifetime Achievement Award” for his exceptional career.

It should be noted that Fally Ipupa now has 14 AFRIMMA awards. In 2019 and 2021, he had already become the most awarded artist in the history of these awards. With this remarkable career, he is undeniably a source of immense pride for the African continent.

After this victory, Fally Ipupa, who will soon begin her world tour entitled “Fally Ipupa World Tour” (Part 1), will be able to celebrate her two trophies in the company of her audience.
