A lifeless body found in Gade, an investigation is opened

A man was found deceased on the night of September 4, 2026, on a road within the perimeter of the mining operations of Industries Chimiques du Sénégal (ICS), near the village of Gade where he resided.

The exact causes and circumstances of his death are currently the subject of investigations by the competent authorities. The ICS announce in a press release sent to our editorial staff, “to collaborate fully with the authorities for the precise establishment of the facts”.

Pending the conclusions of the investigations, the ICS say they are “fully mobilized and are ensuring that all applicable prevention and security measures are maintained within their sites”.

In these particularly painful circumstances, the ICS express their deep solidarity to the family of the deceased, to the inhabitants of the village of Gade. The General Directorate of ICS sends its sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.
