From the SOS Children’s Village in Louga to social networks: the inspiring journey of the Koué brothers
Similar character traits, almost identical voice tone. And no, it’s not a coincidence. The resemblance is striking: they are not simple lookalikes, but twin brothers. They are Brice and Serge Koué. Aged over 35, born and raised in Senegal, these two dynamic brothers of Senegalese-Ivorian nationality embody a journey that is as exciting as it is resilient.
A little clue to distinguish them today? Hairstyle and style. Serge wears locks, while Brice sports an afro. Beyond appearances, their personalities assert themselves differently: Serge is often perceived as the more extroverted and “social” of the two, which is confirmed by his twin brother: “Behaviorally, Serge is more ‘social’, one would say ‘nicer'”, while Brice shines with his writing and his rhetoric. Nicknamed the “Senghor of modern times” by his many subscribers, Brice does not owe this title solely to his aesthetics. A skilled speaker, public relations manager trained in HR and finance, he masters the word and handles the language of Molière with the precision of a poet. Serge, for his part, cut his teeth in IT, a field in which he now puts his skills at the service of Médecins Sans Frontières.
But before the virtual world, the destiny of the twins was forged in the very particular setting of the SOS Children’s Village in Louga. This is where they spent their entire childhood and early adolescence, a founding experience which forged their courage, their strength and an unconditional love for service to humanity. Faithful to the culture of give back (Editor’s note: “giving back” in French is a philosophical and managerial principle which consists of sharing one’s success, one’s time or one’s resources with one’s community or society, as a sign of gratitude for the opportunities received), they continue to support their community in their own way. “For give back, Brice wrote a book entitled “Memories and Perspectives”, intended for the children who grew up there with us and the others who came after us. »
Serge worked for the institution for almost a decade. “When we can, we make a gesture of solidarity, but it must be said that we are no longer very present alongside the SOS villages now,” recognizes Brice.
Enlighten minds
Very active on the Internet, Brice and Serge do not publish to say nothing. From 2016 to 2023, they hosted “The Chronicle of the Twins”, a space for citizen engagement and political analysis. After putting this activity on hold in 2024 to refocus on their personal lives, they relaunched their dynamic under the concept “T-Twin Talk” (a nod between Twin talk and To win talk, “discussion to win”): “It’s a fairly easy concept where my brother and I deal with very accessible subjects and give our opinions respectfully. These are videos that we want to be short (max. 2 min), but that we hope will be useful to the public who follows us and seems to really appreciate them,” according to Serge.
Through this new project, the twins dissect French words with positive connotations to inspire their community to overcome everyday difficulties. As soon as the cameras turn on, the two brothers engage in a real transmission where wisdom, maturity, lightness and knowledge combine. Without ever negatively impacting their professional lives, social networks have become a natural place of expression for them: a space where laughter, reflection and the deep desire to enlighten minds intersect.
By transforming their experience into strength and the word into a tool for awakening, Brice and Serge Koué prove that beyond physical resemblance, it is the same ideal that unites them: that of enlightening minds, one word at a time.
