Abdou Lahad Ndiaye absent to stay at the bedside of the victims of the Kébémer accident October 26, 2026
Louga responded last Saturday to the call of the presidential party “Kiiray-Les patriotes republicans”, on the occasion of its official launch in the capital of Ndiambour. However, the Minister of Land and Air Transport, Abdou Lahad Ndiaye, also responsible for this political party in Louga, did not take part in the ceremony. He was at the bedside of the victims of the tragic accident that occurred Friday on the Ndande-Kébémer axis.
LOUGA – The Mansour Bouna Ndiaye public square in Louga was full last Saturday during the official launch of the “Kiiray-Les patriotes republicans” party. Coming from different localities in the department, activists and supporters mobilized strongly to take part in this political meeting. Dressed in t-shirts bearing the image of the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, and the Minister of Land and Air Transport, Abdou Lahad Ndiaye, the participants brandishing signs plunged the regional capital of Ndiambour into a festive and warm atmosphere.
However, the main party official in Louga, Abdou Lahad Ndiaye, did not attend this ceremony. His absence is explained by the tragic accident that occurred Friday on the Ndande-Kébémer axis, which left 9 dead and 5 seriously injured, according to official information. In these painful moments, the minister chose to stay at the victims’ bedside to show them his compassion and solidarity.
Present at the ceremony, at the invitation of his supervisory minister, Bara Gaye, general director of Dakar Dem Dikk, first presented his condolences to the families of the nine deceased people, before wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
Furthermore, he invited the populations of Louga to unite around their son, Abdou Lahad Ndiaye, in order to support the policies of the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
For the mayor of Yeumbeul, the head of state represents “a path to salvation for Senegal”, because he clearly understood the concerns of the populations, particularly those of the rural world. As an example, he mentioned the increase in the budget allocated to family security grants. Bara Gaye thus called on people to support the President of the Republic to support his action and contribute to building a better future for Senegal.
