The Der/Fj grants 1.7 million to 5 Gies in the Louga department October 20, 2026
The economic interest groups (Gie) of Louga benefited from financial support from the General Delegation for Rapid Entrepreneurship of Women and Young People (Der/Fj). This is an envelope of 20,400,000 CFA francs for the benefit of the Gie. The handover ceremony was held this Monday in Louga.
This funding aims to support women and young people to strengthen their income-generating activities, while promoting their economic empowerment. As a reminder, the Beyes program has provided overall funding of 91,200,000 CFA francs to Louga since its launch.
Chairing the meeting, the deputy prefect of Louga, Ousmane Thioub, welcomed the efforts of the Der/Fj in favor of the populations, particularly women and young people, in order to enable them to develop their entrepreneurial activities.
However, the administrative authority invited beneficiaries to respect their commitments in terms of repayment of credits. “The reimbursement will undoubtedly allow future generations to also benefit from the financing,” declared Ousmane Thioub, recalling that compliance with this obligation constitutes a sine qua non condition for the sustainability of the system.
Dr Abdoulaye Niane also agreed, emphasizing the importance of credit recovery. “We call on all beneficiaries to ensure compliance with the reimbursement conditions,” he said.
