Senegal–Ivory Coast cooperation: the Prime Minister received by Alassane Ouattara and Tiémoko Meyliet Koné
At the end of his 24-hour working visit to Abidjan, the Senegalese Prime Minister, Ahmadou Alhaminou Lô, was received by the Ivorian President, Alassane Ouattara, and the Vice-President, Tiémoko Meyliet Koné.
The discussions focused on ways to strengthen cooperation between Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire, particularly in the areas of security, trade, agriculture and public policies.
These sectors occupy an important place in relations between the two countries. Strengthening trade, security cooperation and sharing experiences in the conduct of public policies are among the avenues mentioned to deepen their partnership.
This visit is part of the desire of Dakar and Abidjan to consolidate their historic ties of friendship and solidarity. The two countries also intend to strengthen their consultation and develop joint actions in favor of economic and social development, as well as regional integration in West Africa.
Through these hearings at the summit of the Ivorian State, Senegal reaffirms its commitment to cooperation based on dialogue and the search for common responses to the region’s challenges.
This stage of the visit thus aims to give new impetus to the Dakar-Abidjan axis and to strengthen a partnership for the benefit of both countries.
