Social movements of October 21, 22 and 23: Senelec reassures its customers
On the eve of the social movements announced for October 21, 22 and 23, 2026, Senelec reassures its customers.
In a press release dated October 20, the general management affirms that “all necessary measures” have been taken to ensure the continuity and quality of the public electricity service.
“Fully mobilized” services
The company indicates that its competent services are fully mobilized to guarantee the population a supply of electricity under the best conditions. However, the press release does not detail the measures taken, nor the teams or resources deployed, nor the areas possibly affected by disruptions.
Social dialogue reaffirmed
On a social level, Senelec says it is committed to dialogue, listening to its workers and seeking concerted solutions, “in compliance with the legal and regulatory provisions in force”. This wording is in line with the information note sent to staff on October 19. The management indicated that it had not received any formal notice of strike from SUTELEC, of which it said it had learned of the intention to strike through unofficial channels. She also recalled the notice rules and the sanctions provided for by the labor code. The press release intended for the public avoids these aspects and speaks generally of “announced social movements”.

Senelec invites its customers and partners to follow its official communications and promises to inform “in good time” of any developments requiring specific information from users.
