Sokone: Adepme equips economic players in the region

An exchange and awareness meeting with economic actors in Sokone, in particular women’s GIEs, associations and entrepreneurs, was organized by the Agency for the Development and Supervision of Small and Medium Enterprises (Adepme). According to a note from the agency published on Saturday, this meeting was an opportunity to discuss with them the advantages of formalization.

The last stage of the field mission organized as part of the Naatal Sine Saloum project of the Agency for the Development and Supervision of Small and Medium Enterprises (Adepme) was organized on Friday. This is a meeting for exchanges and awareness-raising with economic actors in Sokone, in particular women’s GIEs, associations and entrepreneurs.

This assembly was an opportunity for the Director of Formalization, Business Generation and Ecosystems of Adepme to present the Agency’s different service offerings, deployed through its projects and programs, and the support opportunities available to SMEs.

“He also led an awareness session devoted to the advantages of formalization, recalling that it should not be seen only as an administrative process, but as a lever allowing the company to better structure itself, to access support systems, financing, markets and new development opportunities,” reports a note from the agency.

The direct exchanges with the participants, continues the same source, made it possible to collect their concerns, to answer their questions and, above all, to better understand the realities faced by entrepreneurs at the local level.

For his part, the Director General of Adepme reaffirmed the importance of local support, anchored in the territories and built around the real needs of SMEs. To this end, he greeted and thanked Enabel as well as the Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, whose involvement contributes to strengthening proximity with businesses and the effectiveness of interventions on the ground.

The ambition is to strengthen the territorial anchoring of support in order to create, in each territory, high-performance SMEs and true local champions.

Through this approach, Adepme reaffirms its desire to be more present alongside SMEs, as close as possible to their territories, their realities and their ambitions. More dynamic territories also require better structured, better supported and more competitive local SMEs.
