244 projects selected, 570 million FCFA mobilized: the FDCUIC reveals the results of its 2026 Call for Projects

The Board of Directors of the Urban Cultures and Creative Industries Development Fund (FDCUIC) validated, on Thursday August 20, 2026, the results of the 2026 Call for Projects, a deadline eagerly awaited by the country’s cultural stakeholders. In a press release received by our editorial staff on August 26, 2026, the organization reveals the results.

The 2026 edition will have sparked massive mobilization: 855 applications were submitted on the dedicated platform. After the verification stage, the public establishment specifies that “754 projects were declared eligible and submitted for evaluation”, i.e. an admissibility rate of almost 88%.

The files selected for evaluation were then screened against several criteria. According to the press release, the examination focused in particular on “the relevance, quality, feasibility, social and economic impact, innovative character and viability” of the initiatives presented, an analysis grid which is intended to be demanding and transversal.

244 winners for a budget of 570 million FCFA

At the end of the selection process, the Board of Directors finalized its list: 244 projects were finally selected, for a total amount of 555 million FCFA. Additional support is added, since the FDCUIC indicates that an additional 15 million FCFA have been allocated “to support artistic mobility”, a system managed separately from the traditional call for projects. In total, 570 million FCFA will be injected into the ecosystem of urban cultures and creative industries.

A diversity of sectors concerned

The Fund underlines that the winning initiatives cover several sectors of urban cultures and creative industries, with the stated ambition of contributing “to the creation, professionalization, structuring and development” of these sectors on a national scale.

Selected project leaders will now have to wait to find out the practical implementation arrangements. The FDCUIC announces that information relating to the agreement and payment of subsidies will be disseminated “soon” via its official communication channels.

The establishment, placed under the technical supervision of the Ministry of Culture, also sent its congratulations to the winners and thanked all the candidates who took part in this 2026 edition.
