The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) board has decided not to renew the contract of its beleaguered CEO Zindaba Soko.
In a statement, RTSA acting board chairperson Cornelius Chipoma said the board decided that Soko separates from the Agency on September 6, 2019 following the expiry of his contract.
“The Board wishes to thank Mr Soko for his services to the Agency during his six-year tenure,” Dr Chipoma said.
In June this year, the Drug Enforcement Commission began investigating Soko for money laundering activities.
Soko then voluntarily took leave from his position to pave way for investigations into allegations of money laundering leveled against him.
