YOG Dakar 2026: Behind the show, shadowy actors at work
Behind the success of the opening ceremony of the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) lies important organizational, logistical and artistic mechanics. If the public was able to appreciate a high-quality performance, it is above all the result of teamwork, long hours of preparation, reflection and creation.
A collective success which mobilizes, beyond the faces highlighted, numerous professionals often working behind the scenes. Their contribution, sometimes discreet, was nevertheless decisive in the production of this show.

In a non-exhaustive approach, since this performance is the result of a collective effort involving many actors, it is appropriate to highlight some of those who contributed to giving substance to this ambition.

The general choreography was provided by Marianne Niox, while Minuss Niang took charge of the artistic coordination.

Khady Niang distinguished herself as the director of the ceremonies and Xalil Cissé made his contribution to the artistic direction.

The direction was entrusted to Adama Diop, while the musical creation went to ISS 814.

So many skills and sensitivities which made it possible to transform a vision into a concrete achievement.
