The UPND NMC team which was led by the party spokesperson, Mr Charles Kakoma, National trustee, Mr Christopher Mwaba and youth national secretary, Trevor Mwiinde on Thursday concluded the tour of Eastern province.
The NMC team was on a five day tour of the province, to do a head count of the party structures ahead of provincial intra-party elections. After visiting all 15 districts across the province, the NMC team was impressed with the team on the ground which they found to be all intact.
Speaking to the provincial executive later, Mr Kakoma expressed happiness that the party structures in Eastern province are intact and working tirelessly to see the party form government come next year. Mr Kakoma preached peace and unity ahead of the provincial elections sometime this month.
UPND Eastern province Chairperson, Mr Paul Thole thanked the entourage for visiting the province and assured them that the party will do everything possible to deliver a UPND win during next year’s general elections. Mr Thole, told the entourage that this should not be the last visit but a beginning of the more visits into the province.
Eastern province is one of many fertile provinces that the UPND is likely to win with a huge margin during the 2021 general elections.
