United Party for National Development UPND says it will not take disciplinary action against its party members involved in the Kaoma violence on Sunday because they were defending themselves.

UPND Secretary General Stephen Katuka says there is no action the party can take against people who were defending themselves after an attack in the Kaoma by elections violence which left one person dead.

And Mr. Katuka says he will not be part of a blame game over the violence, in response to PF Secretary General Davies Mwila’s allegations that the UPND is responsible for the violence which he describes as nonsense.

Earlier today, PF Secretary General, Davies Mwila blamed the UPND of having ferried cadres from Chawama who attacked and shot PF cadres in Kaoma where a life was lost.
