Choma Central UPND Member of Parliament Cornelius Mweetwa has observed that political violence can only end if the opposition upholds the rule of law.
Speaking via telephone this morning when he featured on “Morning Live” Breakfast show on Chikuni Radio, Mr. Mweetwa said the signing of a memorandum of understanding between PF and UPND is a mockery and shows a shift from the rule of law.
The Choma Central law maker says Zambia has sufficient laws to stem out the continued violence but the problem lies with ud the opposition and those occupying public offices.
He says those governing the country have failed to take appropriate action as while as to fairly apply the laws to all the citizens.
Mr. Mweetwa says there is also need to recognize and respect human rights in Zambia as the current situation indicates otherwise.
