UPND lodges complaint to police against GBM’s alleged tribal remarks
The UPND in Northern Province has lodged a complaint to police against remarks issued by its former Party President Geoffrey Mwamba that the Northern Region is a No-go area for the opposition UPND.
In a letter of complaint addressed to Northern Province Police command, the UPND is demanding for the arrest of Mr Mwamba popularly known as GBM for allegedly expressing tribal remarks against the UPND and Hakainde Hichilema.
Speaking in Kasama last Friday when President Edgar Lungu officially welcomed him in the party , Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba vowed that northern region will be a no go area for the opposition and will be maintained for the ruling Patriotic Front (PF ).
GBM added that just like the opposition UPND has maintained certain provinces he will also ensure the Northern block is maintained for PF
