The coach of the Lion Cubs of the Atlas of Morocco, Saïd Chiba, revealed on Monday his list of players selected for the preparatory camp for the U17 World Cup. The World Cup is scheduled for November 10 to December 2, 2023 in Indonesia.
From November 10 to December 2, Indonesia will host the flagship competition for young football talents, the Under-17 World Cup. Four African teams including Morocco will also host the world tournament. And already, the Atlas Lion Cubs are in the preparations for this football meeting. In a press release published Monday, the Royal Moroccan Federation revealed the list of players selected by coach Saïd Chiba for the preparatory camp.
In this list of 25 Lions, we find the finalists of the last CAN U17, Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal and Adam Boufandar. The two form the hard core with PSG right-back Naoufel El Hannach and LOSC goalkeeper Mohamed-Amine Ezzarhouni. The Atlas Lions will carry out their training in Qatar.
As a reminder, Morocco is in Group A at the World Cup, with Indonesia, Ecuador and Panama as co-tenants. The Lion Cubs will open the World Cup against the Panamanian team. They will challenge Ecuador three days later and then face the host country, Indonesia, on November 16, for what will be their third group match.
