Soldier, Police Officer Involved In Kambwili’s Money Theft

A soldier and a police officer have been indicted in the alleged theft of US$ 160,000 belonging to National Democratic Congress Leader Chishimba Kambwili.

 

When the case came up for plea, the State informed the court that the charge needed to be amended to include three people, Jacob Sinandambwe 32 a soldier, David Zimba 52, a retired police officer and Ian Kalunga 34, a police officer.

This brings the number of people allegedly involved to nine, who have since pleaded not guilty to the offence.
The other suspects are Stacey Jones, the best friend of Chanda, Kambwili’s daughter, together with five former employees of Dr. Kambwili.

Particulars of offence are that between 14th December and 27th December 2020, the accused persons connived and allegedly stole US$ 160,000 cash from Dr. Kambwili’s residence. [Diamond TV ]
