The Saudi club of Abha formalized this Thursday the arrival of the Cameroonian striker, Karl Toko Ekambi, who has signed up until 2025 with the residents of the Saudi Pro League from Olympique Lyonnais.

The negotiations will have lasted several days, but it is now official. Karl Toko Ekambi is a player from Abha Club. The Cameroonian striker signed up until 2025 with the Saudi club from OL. The formalization was made this Thursday by the Gulf team in a post on its Twitter account. The amount of the transaction is estimated at 1.5 million euros.

Last season, Karl Toko Ekambi was loaned to Rennes during the second half of the year. However, the 30-year-old striker is not part of coach Laurent Blanc’s plans, which prompted him to leave the Lyon squad. Arrived in Lyon during the 2019-2020 season, the Cameroonian striker, author of 30 goals with Les Gones, will therefore begin a new chapter in his career. In Saudi Arabia, the Indomitable Lion will find a former Ligue 1 player, François Kamano, who joined the club just a few days ago.
