President Bassirou Diomaye Faye pays tribute to Demba Sène August 23, 2026
The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, went to Ndiandiaye, his native village in the commune of Ndiaganiao, on the occasion of the ceremony on the third day of the death of Demba Sène, teacher and committed figure in local political life.
This disappearance comes just twenty days after that of Diegane Faye, former president of the Ndiaganiao Rural Council and uncle of the Head of State. The two men were political companions of the father of the President of the Republic. Their families also live in almost terraced houses, in the heart of the village.
Faithful to his roots, the Head of State shared the pain and memories of the bereaved families, in an atmosphere marked by emotion and fraternity. His presence reflects his attachment to his community of origin and the values of solidarity that characterize it.
On this occasion, the President of the Republic renewed his condolences to the families of Diegane Faye and Demba Sène, as well as to the entire community of Ndiaganiao.
