Politics Of Hatred: Hon. Lusambo Questions Dr. Kambwili’s Wisdom!
Lusaka Province Minister, Hon. Lusambo, has observed that “now that Hon. Chishimba Kambwili does not have a political party, he has resorted to desperate means of attempting to stay politically relevant!”
At the centre of this “debacle”, is the fact that President Edgar Lungu is friends with a businessman Valden Findlay whose character and standing in society Hon. Kambwili alleges to be too questionable to be close to the Head of State.
But Hon. Lusambo said, “No matter how loud Kambwili wants to shout, the fact remains that as both Head of State and individual, President Lungu has every right to make and keep friends without seeking consent from Kambwili.”
I have always argued that much of the stagnation in this country can be attributed to our poor education system which does not exist to teach people how to think with a view to finding solutions.
I call it training, not education, because its purpose is not to educate a person to understand the objective limits to development, but to train a person altogether to accept stagnation through brainwashing, slowly turning into hero worshipping.
While we have been reduced to discussing baseless allegations by the current clueless opposition, the reality on the ground is that 60% of our population lives below the poverty line and 40% is classified as extremely poor.
The mighty opposition, however, would rather discuss Findlay as a drug dealer at the expense of devising alternative but innovative solutions to the real issues the nation is faced with. How misplaced can its priorities be?
Zambians must choose development over utushimi (fairy tales). Let’s challenge the opposition to exhibit maturity by offering verifiable alternative solutions as a government in waiting.
Government should ignore those of the caliber of Hon. Kambwili. They say you will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks.
