The opposition UPND and NDC have accused ministers of illegally acquiring individual monthly allowances amounting to K41, 000.
NDC Consultant Chishimba Kambwili and UPND President Hakainde Hichilema have questioned why government would give ministers allowances when majority Zambians are struggling to make ends meet.
The two parties have decided to hold a peaceful demonstration over the issue stating that they will fight it tooth and nail.
Meanwhile, Dr. Kambwili says he is ready to pay back the money he earned after the dissolution of parliament in 2016.
The NDC Consultant through his lawyers has written to Secretary to the Cabinet Roland Msiska to find out how much he should pay back.
Dr. Kambwili and Mr. Hichilema were speaking when the latter in the company of his Deputy Geoffrey Mwamba and UPND Chairperson for Mobilisation Sylvia Masebo paid Dr. Kambwili a courtesy call at his residence in Woodlands.
