Under pressure Zambia national team coach Wedson Nyirenda says the African Nations Championship (CHAN) has given the technical bench an insight into players who can deliver on the big stage.
Nyirenda said in Lusaka that some players have impressed him ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations Group K match against Namibia in Windhoek in March this year.
Zambia lost 1-0 to Sudan in the quarter-finals due to a defensive lapse which Nyirenda described as a schoolboy mistake.
“It has been a long journey starting from the qualifiers. The CHAN tournament has opened our eyes to know who can play and who cannot. It has also exposed some disciplinary issues in individual players,” Wada said
